2009 Annual Charity Golf Tournament

The 14th Annual Maritime Electric Charity Golf Tournament was held on Friday, June 5, 2009, at Fox Meadow Golf Course and was a resounding success raising $30,000 for four Island charities. The tournament was organized by Maritime Electric employee volunteers and played host to 136 golfers.
The recipient charities for this year’s event were: The Arthritis Society of PEI, Special Olympics of PEI, The Palliative Care Program at the Prince Edward Home, and KidSport PEI. These charities were chosen by Maritime Electric employees.
Maritime Electric wants to support local charities and The Annual Maritime Electric Charity Golf Tournament is one of the ways the Company can show this support. This year’s Tournament Committee included: Sandra Mayhew, Kevin Burns, Bob Rhead, Scott Campbell, and Paul Cyr, with Sharon MacDonald and Kent Nicholson as co-chairs. We look forward to continued success and support of this annual event.
