Saving Energy
Reducing your electricity bill by saving energy makes sense. Electricity is a resource that shouldn't be wasted and using less benefits us all and saves you money. It’s about using less today to help save money and build a greener tomorrow.
We want to help you become an energy saver in your home and reduce your electricity bill. Make simple changes– like switching to Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs (CFLs) and Light Emitting Diode (LED) Christmas lights – this can add up to big savings. Check out our Energy Conservation section for more energy saving tips, tour through our Energy Saving Home and use the Energy Calculator to discover how much electricity your appliances use in your home.
We encourage Islanders to reduce their energy consumption by taking part in energy efficiency programs when available, such as Winter Challenge.
