Powering Opportunities for Women

At Maritime Electric, we value diversity. We know a diverse workforce is a strong workforce. We are committed to building and fostering inclusivity and diversity in our workplace so we can better serve our customers and our communities. As a result, we are working to create more opportunities for women to succeed in the trades as Power Line Technicians in our Company. 

Women currently make up less than 10% of Canadian skilled trade workers (Source: Canadian Electricity Association). At Maritime Electric, we want to improve this and create opportunities for more women to explore the industry as an option. There are many opportunities for highly dynamic and challenging work at the Company and in the utility industry in general.
